Laetitia Soulier & Hannah Thiem @ Aperture

ARTISTS WANTED & THE DANGER, PRESENT
Laetitia Soulier & Hannah Thiem.
Thursday evening 7/26/12, at Aperture Foundation, 547 W 27th street, NYC.
Soulier was selected as the Grand Prize photographer of Exposure 2011.
Her photographs are visually stunning, a portal into a fractal intricate world.

In Soulier's Matryoshka series, she uses scale, symmetry and order
to create images that play with perspective and perception.
Soulier's images are seemingly, plucked from a Lewis Carroll, fairy tale.

All the elements in the constructions were extrapolated by the shape
of the Matryoshka Dolls, using "fractal logic" as a generative building block.
