Buddy Guy @ Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival

On July 11, 2012, Buddy Guy was signing copies of his new memoir,
“When I Left Home: My Story,”  at the World Financial Center Winter Garden.  At 7:30 p.m., 13-year-old guitar prodigy Quinn Sullivan, joined Buddy Guy and John Mayall, in the Lowdown Hudson Blues Festival at the World Financial Center Plaza. Buddy Guy recently made headlines when he pulled President Obama onstage at the White House to perform “Sweet Home Chicago.”

A gorgeous evening into night, it doesn't get any better in NYC.

Quinn Sullivan, is thirteen years old and plays blues guitar.
Buddy had him mimicking, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix, styles.

Buddy Guy sang his rendition of "Strange Brew" to an eager audience.
The song was popularized by Cream in the late 60's.

Buddy told the crowd how he had met Jimi Hendrix in NYC.
He ended the concert with a wild rendition of Vodoo Child,
with Quinn taking the primary guitar lines and solos.
